Two issues were raised so far:

1. Why don't you include a link to this document in the error message?

We'll shortly do that, as this document was just released today, after a couple of days of writing/editing by all of us.

2. Why not just send an email to the latest known email address?

We used to, and have done that in the past. Unfortunately, we've had legal threats from some members, if we ever contact them at this or that email address.

This is why we have mentioned privacy, and how we want to make sure the members gives us explicit permission to discuss this matter through a specific email address.
