Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a copper bowl for beating eggs? After a year of wishing I could make this (I have never succeeded with egg whites) I spent $40 -- and that for the small one -- at amazon.com on a copper bowl. Now I have to go through the 'stripping' process. What a pain in the butt, no wonder they are fairly uncommon in my world!

My plan is to secretly test a few variants of this recipe while my little girl (who also eats LC with me) is at school over the next two weeks. Then for Valentine's Day, we're going to get up early, have sweet cocoa-coffee in these pretty red&pink hearts mugs we got, and some kind of 'danish' with this recipe as the base.

I'd really like to try the variant without yolks, simply because we both adore angel food cake. I have a 1 Tbsp-size ice cream scoop and tiny little angel food cake balls sound awesome. ;-)
