As long as you don't mind a fairly repetitive diet, I don't think being finicky should be a setback. Meat and lettuce can get you pretty close to where you want to be nutritionally. A fair number of people do nothing but the meat and are successful--personally if I went that route, I'd throw in a multivitamin, not because I think it's necessary, but because I'm not convinced that it's not necessary.

It's not unusual for people to experience a plateau following rapid weight loss like you describe to then go into a "stall." When it goes down that fast--it's likely you've lost a fair bit of water, and it's easy for a recovery of some of that water weight to mask further fat loss for a period, you have to sort of stay the course to be certain whether that's the issue or not, I think Atkins suggested about 4 weeks.
