I don't consider myself an emotional eater, but I did just realize I'm a binger. And I finally figured out WHY! When I was a child, our punishment was to "go to your room without dinner". So what do I do now, but stuff my face in fear of the next "drought"; and maybe also because if I'm eating, then that means I've been good! Bah!
At least we've both realized our issue!! Step one, right?
