If anyone is interested, here is a link to our VERY FIRST "FIRST" CHALLENGE thread from 2010:

I've spent some time this afternoon, going through them. It's interesting to see the friends come and go, some people succeed and then move on. Others, like me, just keep trying. I've likened my weight loss journey to my quit smoking journey, and sometimes think maybe THIS is the year I succeed.

Any one of us can tell you--This is a marathon thread.. It's not a sprint. We welcome everyone, but remember... you are committing to being here month in and month out... Posting your weigh in's, the good the bad and the ugly... Occasionally, throughout the year, I will delete people who haven't updated for a few months, just to keep it clean and easier to update at the beginning of the month. If I delete you and you want to return, that's fine. Just continue to update and you won't be deleted.

Over the years I have found this keeps me accountable. I find if I slip and start skipping posting, then it all goes downhill from there... sorta like the dirty dish water circling the drain.. Hence, my problem as to why I'm still here at the same weight as when I started this. Then I come back and start paying attention, and start posting again, and things improve. Ugh..
I. must. stop. doing. that! Here's to the New Year, may we all have good health and prosperity. Thanks for listening (or reading, I guess.)
