Default Gout anyone? Delicate balance

MyDH suffers terribly from gout, it is in some part hereditary for him. Eating cherries as soon as he feels the tingling does help, but he also has medication because of the damage it causes.
I (re) started low carb in April and back then my husband was not willing to because of his gout flare ups ( although they were still happening off the diet)
On October 6 he was admitted with heart failure and the balancing act begins- low fat, no sugar, no salt, limit fluids. We started straight away on LC and the numbers have been fantasti! He's lost 19lbs since October 11, his fasting numbers have never been better, limiting his liquids to 42 oz. a day, no salt whatsoever...and He's feeling like crap in the evening, dizzy nauseous and throwing up,we ended up in emerge again last night...they said his sugar is too low and he's dehydrated, geez man... I know how hard it is to go against the recommendations, I understand your frustration.
