I do a 24 hour IF about 3-4 days a week, and a 36-40 hour fast once to twice per month. During those days, there is just no way I'm going to get a ton of calories because I eat a normal low-carb dinner, with maybe just a little bit more than usual. I've recorded between 800-1100 on those days, only if I add a lot of fat. (My non-fasting days are around 1400-1500).

This has not slowed my weight loss, as I'm still averaging 2 pounds per week of loss. I believe the researchers who say that fasting does not slow metabolism, because when I was on low carb only, I stalled for months -- I don't have those kind of stalls with fasting.

So I don't worry about the calories, since my method is working, and I have tons of on-board calories for my usage, and will for a long, long, time. (Our bodies are really handy at energy storage )
