I was also lucky in another sense. I went to a smaller, local hospital. A friend of mine went to Maine Med (the largest in the state). After her procedure, they made her stay in the recovery area (with about 10 other people, recovering from various other procedures) and "pass gas" until it was gone. She asked if she could at least go in the bathroom, but they said no. The nurse had to stay and listen to be sure it was all gone!

How embarrassing!!!!!!!!
