If you wanted to look at the "net" carbs that other products quote, you'd take total carbs and then take away the figure quoted as something like "of which polyols" or "malitol" or similar.

Be warned that some people experience tummy problems with sugar alcohols, malitol in particular, and some people don't believe in the taking away *all* the sugar alcohols and only take away half the amount of polyols from the total carb figure.
