That sounds great in theory Islandgirl. And yes many people don't need low carbing and metformin. However those of us with severe insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia have to either go the zero carb route (as in meat and water only) or low carb and metformin.

In June I thought after so many years low carbing that my body would be healed and I could go off my metformin. I did and I GAINED 8lbs while eating induction level carbs.

So those women with PCOS who can do low carb only are lucky. However not everyone can do this.
