The body/facial hair will never go away. Once the hormones have changed your hair follicles to produce courser hair, the change is perminant. As far as how long it will take to clear symptoms..... Depends. For me, it took two months for regular periods. Acne took over a year for me, and I still get a few every so often. If I eat too much friut, my periods come late again. This never "goes away," it is managed by controlling insulin spikes. Excess insulin causes your body to step up production of PCOS hormones. So what I think it depends on is how well you manage your insulin spikes. If you eat a higher carb diet, you will average more insulin in your system. This MAY cause your symptoms to take longer be relieved. Any step in the direction of reducing insulin is a step in the right direction.
