I agree with the healthier immune system. I don't know if we have two bugs going around, or if it's just one that knocks both respitory and intestinal. At any rate, the only one here who suffered much with the intestinal was the 5-year-old, and honestly, he didn't get very sick at all--vomited once and had a little diarrhea, I think a slight fever for one day and was back to his old self within two days. This is the kid who used to get completely knocked out when something like this came around, and maybe he's just outgrowing it, but I'm more inclined to think the way he eats has more to do with it. Hardly a day goes by but what he doesn't have berries with cream, salad and quite a few veggies with plenty of fatty protein. Yes, he has his carbs, too (after all, he's a growing boy) but overall his diet is much healthier now than before.

As for the 'adults' in the family--I had bouts with my stomach for a couple of weeks, but nothing serious--just the occasional crampiness and runs once every few days. If the girls had it, they didn't even hardly notice it.

Yesterday we did, however, all come down with the respitory crud. While no one is feeling very good, we're feeling a lot better than something like this ever hit us in the past. No one has spent the entire day in bed. Sure, we haven't got much done around the house, but at least didn't have to sleep all day. Now we'll see how everyone recovers.
