No, you're right. I just decided to jump into the second phase. For a long time, I have done a modified low carb diet so I thought it might not make a difference. It probably depends a lot on where your metabolism is. Also I'm not always real good at following the rules -- as demonstrated by yesterday, LOL! This morning I was 3lbs. heavier (water gain I assume). Been low carbing all day and feel great again.
