Quit day was supposed to be July 1. Didn't make that..but have gone from 40 smokes a day to 8.

I met with the quit coach last week and we talked about how, why and when I smoke. She's quite pleased with my progress and admitted that because I'm a heavy smoker it will take longer for the Champix to kick in and I'll need to say on it for longer. We talked a good deal about why I failed after being on the Champix successfully over the winter and she gave me strategies for coping.

At the end of the day this is like going LC. It's a lifestyle change. I need to change patterns and habits. I did it for LC so I know I can do it for quitting. I am determined to quit and stay off this time.

I'll put the rest of my quitting journey in my regular journal.
