I think the whole point of the "pre-maintenance" phase of Atkins is to learn how to eat so that you don't need to count anything anymore. You get comfortable with what you learned in OWL as far as what your carby food limits are and what size portions you can eat to maintain weight and be satiated.
Once you have this down to subconcious habits, you can call yourself a maintainer!
I have been in this phase for about six months now and and just about to tell myself that I can take off the "pre" from "maintenance". Yay!
