OMG.....thank you Nic!!!
Thanks to your post about eggs, I looked up a recipe for "Shirred Eggs" I have heard of them, but never had, or made them. Where have they been all my life??? I just finished my first, but certainly not last, ramekin of shirred eggs.
It could not be easier! I have some little 6 oz ramekins which were perfect.
2 tsp of butter melted in the ramekin and spread up the sides etc.
2 TB of heavy cream
2 eggs
Salt & pepper
I baked them at 350 for 12 minutes and then added some crumbled bacon and a few shreds of Cooper cheese. Back in the oven for 5 minutes. It was so good I couldn't wait till it cooled and have burned my mouth. Totally worth it!!
Thanks again for a new a delicious way to eat more eggs. Yum!
