Interesting that unlike my stop smoking date that I will always remember, June 27, 2002, I don't remember my last period. I do know that I was thinking I would be like my mother and I would be around 55 y.o. But I stopped when I was 50. Now that I'm typing, I think it was in February, 2011.

My experience was I just stopped. I had a few years prior of some periods that came in between my usual. But before that I was regular all my years, always 28-30 days apart until I was about 43 or so. Then once or twice a year I'd have a month that I started early. As I was approaching my final period, they tended to not be as long, maybe only 5 days instead of 7-8 days.

Unlike some woman, from the moment I started I wanted them to quit. I had terrible cramps all those years. When Ibuprofin came on the market I was so grateful. It helped me get through the misery I had with my periods.
