may i suggest giving up dairy too in addition to the grains just to shake things up a bit?
i got my husband on board with this by trying out a challenge called the whole30. it's a stricter form of paleo, but you only have to commit to 30 days. we're on our 23rd day and we are really happy with our results so far.
