pcos
Hi,
What is PCOS? Ana :q: |
This link will take you to a "What is PCOS" page, but the letters stand for:
PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome http://www.pcosupport.org/medical/whatis.php |
Hi Talon,
Thanks, so no ovaries no problem right? Ana  |
Unfortunately not that simple. Its an endocrine problem, not a reproductive organ problem only. It affects insulin levels (which can lead to obesity and a heart attack by hardening arteries), hypothyroidism, depression, diabetes, hypertension, acanthosis nigricans, hirutism and many other fun things.
Hormones have to be treated throughout the body regardless if you have your female organs or not. It sucks! |
