Hi I'm glad I found this site

Hi, I'm Jacki and I'm from Edinburgh Scotland. I've been low carbing for over 6 years and it's definitely the way to go for me. I had a bit of a blip over Christmas though and put on a few pounds. I'm now finding it very hard to lose any weight at all. I've been pretty careful for 2 weeks now but nothing happening. The only thing I'm not sure about is I'm drinking no added sugar fruit squash. Can anyone give me any advice on how to kick start my weight losss and get rid of these 10 pounds. Thanks :)

Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you found us, too! :)

Most of the weight lost in the first week on Atkins is water and stored glycogen. You probably don't have much of that, since you've been following lc for a long time.

Of course, another thing to consider is that the nearer you are to your goal weight, the slower the weight will be lost. It may be that if you just continue as you are, you will see a loss in the next few weeks.

You might want to try eating nothing except meat and eggs for a few days, to see if that helps. Essentially, that would be zero-carbs. Here is a link to a Buddies Group who are doing a version of Meat & Egg. Another option might be to try a 1-week Induction based on the original, 1972 Atkins plan. That would give you a little more variety than just M&E. This link will take you to a Buddies Group of members who follow that version of Atkins. Each of the Buddies Groups I linked to has a list of the information you will need if you want to try either of those suggestions.

Best of luck to you!
