Cakes' gym log

Well this is it-by starting this log I am committing myself to exercising at LEAST 3 x's per week. I am motivated by the recent loss of a few pounds on July. :yay:

I'm also motivated by the fact that heart attacks run rampant in my family. I'm starting (NOW) to do something for myself that can save my health, or life later.

I probably won't start out at the gym- I'm starting out Tae Bo style. I have the whole library of tapes. (a gift from Mom a couple of years ago)

Another reason is for my overall health. I've been successfull with Atkins over thte past 5-6months. It is TIME to start moving my butt to get some more of the body fat off. I am going to go to the gym to get my body fat measured though. I've been paying for the membership for years so I may as well use it for something. Who knows maybe I'll walk in and be motivated to stay a while.

Body fat goal is 14%, or somewhere really close to it!
I wonder what is is now?

Mini goal for July- lose 6lbs.
Stay on track on the NO CHEAT TIL AUGUST CHALLENGE.

Adding stats

The best way to know where you're going to reflect on where you've been- hence my stats

start weight Jan. 24, 2003 161 lbs.
start measurements B 37
W 35
H 43

Current weight 7/3/03 146 lbs
current measurements B 36
W 30 1/2
H 40

That's not too bad. July starts the exercise so let's see if I can get rid of some of those Hip inches. :wiggle:

Note to self- Go to gym for BF %

It's CSI and Without A Trace night. I'm watching both BUT I still plan on doing the Tae Bo video afterwards.

I'm on a roll

Today I started a fitday account for my hubby. He cheated and ate the taco shells instead of dumping them. Anyway it's his body. He still managed to be under 30 carbs. For him that's really good. :doah:

RE 7/3 evening - I did it :yay: After CSI and W A T I did mt Tae Bo tape. It was great. I'm ready to add in some serious hip, thigh work though. :yay:

RE 7/4 no exercise. I had a carb binge day though. 77 carbs :doah:

Today 7/5 - The kids stayed over at my Bro's house so I plan to go to the gym today for that BF test. I'm going to do some kind of exercise 2day, that's for sure.

Went to the gym.

I finally made it to the gym 2day. :yay: I had my BF test (they use the calipers method) My BF is at 35% I thought it was much much worse. I wish I would have had it done pre Atkins.

Anyway according to the guy at the gym (Keiji) I should lose 3% BF per month if I work out (w/ weights) at least 3 times per week. At the end of 2 and a half months I would be at 24 % BF. Sounds easy enough. He was concerned that I'm on Atkins. He said that this diet has been known to deplete muscle. We'll see about that. :) Anyway I just went there for the BF test, but with Keiji's encouragement managed to stay for a work out.

20 minutes on lifecycle - fat burner mode level 5
1 rep (15) at 20lbs - tricep press.

That's it, I had not eaten yet so I decided to wait til the next workout for all muscle stuff. I'm looking forward to it. I have to admit that it felt really good being back in the gym. It wasn't even crowded. :wiggle:

Plan-
Gym 3day per week
Tae Bo 2 times per week

Power 90?

Here I am again - I have not been exercising (but I have not been a couch potato either). I'm still losing inches. I almost can't believe it. I cheated last night. My tummys is paying for it today. I went to school the other day and people were like OMG look how skinny you are getting. (One of the teachers wants to pay me to do her meals Atkins style for her). Well my bro in law and my hubby are starting induction 2day ( I'm doing it with them for support) Of course I don't want to eat anything because my tummy feels like crap 2day.

My bro in law gave me a beach body tape. It's called power half hours. It's looks like a good one. It has 6- 30 min tapes on on DVD. They guarantee loss of inhes in 30 days. If I can do Atkins I KNOW I can do this for 30 days.

Today is DAY 1 induction AND Day 1 PHH program. Here I go. AllI have to lose is 15 more lbs and then I will be celebrating with some new duds.
Today is abs burner day. Includes cardio.

Day 1 Power Half Hour

Today was abs burner 30 mins - GREAT workout. The moves seem really simple but I was sweating like a pig. That has to be good for me. Anyway after my shower I feel really great. I think I'm going to like this better than TAE bO (It was too hard on my ankles). We'll see. :yay:

As of 7/21
For the record:
B - 36in
W - 30.5in
H - 40in

Wt - 146lbs
BF 35%

Goal - To fit into smaller size clothes. To tone my thighs, to lose ANYTHING in my hips :agree: To reach my goal weight of 135lbs. SOON :wiggle:
