Not new but renewed

Hi, I'm back after a long hiatus and thought I'd post in here first. I've been gone most of a year and have only lost about 10 pounds in that year but at least I didn't gain.

I'm searching for good freezer meals to make as I just got a freezer and am a very lazy cook. I much prefer to have a cooking frenzy and put 10-20 meals in the freezer to heat up at will.

So far I have chili and chicken "mac" & cheese.

Does anyone know where I can find good recipes for the freezer? :help:

I hope, oh I hope, to get to my goal weight this year and I wish you all a successful journey.

Welcome back,
Here is a list of ideas, https://www.ditchthecarbs.com/9-bes...-freezer-meals/
I freeze similar recipes, but with meatloaf, prefer to freeze it uncooked in an aluminum loaf pan, defrost, and then bake it right before dinner. All manner of stews, like beef bourguignon work https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/...auliflower-mash (check this site for more recipes) The leftovers can be frozen, and reheated quickly in the stove top or in microwave with a defrost, then reheat cycle. Egg based casseroles don’t do so well in freezer, but do last quite a few days in the fridge and I don’t mind repeating those meals until gone.
All the best,

I find chicken broccoli Alfredo freezes great. Also, precooked zero carb meatballs freeze nicely. (I freeze them without sauce).

Thank you so much Jey and Tess!!!! You have given me enough ideas to make a good supply of frozen meals and I thank you profusely!!!

I didn't read your post before I made and froze egg muffins and I found out that egg gets spongy when it's frozen--live and learn.

I can't wait to try the new recipes!!!! Thank you!

Appreciate the inspiration

Hi Journey,

Thanks for your post. I'm new to this forum, but could have written your first sentence. I've been hovering on the edge of renewing my efforts and you helped me move forward.

Hi mileyjoe, thank you for your reply. It’s geeat you came to the forum and have started back on the journey. For me, it comes down to having a meal plan and the groceries to go with it. Like I said in my original post, I’m a lazy cook, so it just works for me to premake my meals. If that’s not you, though, it still really helps to have a plan. At least in the beginning.

I applaud you for coming to the board and wish you the absolute best on your journey.
