I have been doing so well did not cheat at all thankfully but im so stressed out my DH and his family and I had a huge argument today and the tension in the house hold is huge AND my PTSD is kicking in =( I cant leave the house ( no car) so I just feel so trapped AND a huge cake was bought today and its just sitting there a part of me just wants to dive into it and feel numb I have cried so much today =( and if I did cheat they would hold it against me and use it later when I said " oh I lost two pounds or gained two pounds" I need a hug =( and my therapist is out of town on top of it.

That cake wont help! If you eat it you'll feel even worse. Now is the time for strength! Know that you are in charge of your actions and be positive. Rise above the nonsense and think of yourself and your self worth!!!!

(sorry, I'm not good at doing "the sympathy", "huggie" stuff lol)

Sorry you had such a rough day!! But it's done now. Don't punish yourself further by eating that cake. It's totally not worth it and can't change what's happened so you'll feel even worse after. :there: Hopefully It'll blow over soon and you can put it behind you.

Hi there. :bhug: :bhug:

I hope you didn't eat the cake but if you did, well, don't sweat it. :yum:

You need to find a way to get out! Maybe a bicycle or a scooter or something.

Jo is right of course. Giving in to cravings and eating for comfort only make things worse. I can honestly say that since I started low carbing a year ago I have had few really serious bouts with temptation and when I've given in it's been for a small quantity of something exquisite that i really enjoyed.

I hope it's that way for you too!!

Well done!!! Next time you're in some kind of bad situation and feel like bingeing or pigging out on something bad, remember back to now and say NO I didn't cave in then and I won't now! Good on ya! :)

I was reading this thread and was actually on the edge of my seat, thinking "Oh no, I REALLY hope she doesn't eat the cake!" and then when I saw the post saying you DIDN'T eat it, I let out a cheer! Hooray! I am REALLY happy for you, and PROUD of you. That was a tough one!

Sorry to hear about the fighting, that must be miserable, so good on ya for not eating that stupid cake!

Just a thought - if the people around you aren't being particularly supportive of your LC efforts, maybe don't mention if you are up or down a couple of lbs. If they ask, just say "it's going as expected". Keep it to yourself, cook your own food and enjoy it, get some fresh air and exercise (even a walk around the block), try to distract yourself from your thoughts (work, play, reading).

If you keep your mind on the positives, the negatives will have no place to roost! All the very best to you, I'm rooting for you!
