New and Greetinga from Texas

Hi Everyone! I'm 57 and am of course overwight and frustrated that everything I try I cannot seem to lose. I am post menopausal and currently am not on any medication. I started Induction on Monday of this week and already do not feel as bloated, I will weigh in on Monday to see if the scales show anything.

I'm 35 pounds overwight for me and it's the biggest and most miserable I've ever been. 2 months ago I tried a MLM wellness program and for 1 month I had 2 shakes a day and 1 small tiny meal. I only lost 3 pounds!! As I look back even though the shake had lots of protein it also had lots of carbs and sugars. Also for about 3 years I was a vegetarian and that's also where I gained weight by all the beans and grains I was eating.

Anyway, I'm excited to begin my journey and I certainly love reading everyone's stories!

Happy Friday! K

Welcome KK to the forums. Fellow Texan here as well. You have definitely came to the right place to find support & great advice for your journey into this way of eating. If you stay consistently OP & no cheats you can achieve mind blowing results. Best piece of advice I can give you is don't set any arbitrary deadlines as it sets you up for failure. This is not a transient diet. This is a way of life & having the long view will benefit you greatly. I wish you the best. Look forward to celebrating your success.

Chris
