Food Saver Vacuum Sealer

I finally got one last week and I've been playing with it.

So far I sealed and froze up a bunch of asparagus while it was 99 cents a pound and cut some fillet mignon from beef tenderloin that was on sale.

Good for you. My best shopping opportunities are an hour's drive away. I get up there about once a month. My vacuum sealer is a great thing when I come home with a month's worth of meat - well, that, and the extra freezer in the garage :-). In the summer I get a basket every 2 weeks weeks from my local CSA (community supported agriculture) farm with organic veggies. Great to use fresh, but sometimes too much. The vacuum sealer saves the day, or rather the week's veggie goodness.
