"Active users" number?
 

:q: How come the number of "Active Users" never matches the number in the list of names of members?

It may say 17 members and 15 guests, but there are only about 10 member-names listed.

Just curious.

Quite simple really. You can choose (in your profile) whether you wish to be "visible" or "invisible" while browsing the forum.

{..17 members and 15 guests, but there are only about 10 member-names listed...} I think the guests would probably not show anyhow but of the 17 members only 10 would have chosen to be visible. :)

Many thanks for the answer. I hadn't bothered to notice that option in the Profile. I kind of like knowing who's here cause then i can zip off a private message to my closest chums.
