I check the guide, compare to where I am in my day and it sets me straight.

Excellent!
Yes, that meal plan guide was my saving grace also. Just like you, it helped me to see where I was and what I was still missing for the day.
I'd save my bean portion and use it as a snack of hummus with fresh veggies. :yum:
I'd save my sweet treat for eveing and 1 oz of pistachios.

Keep up the great work!

Just an update... no recorded pounds lost this week however, I am down a pants size, yay! I had a bad misstep the other day. It was a result of poor planning on my part. I severely underestimated the amount of time I would be out, ate badly out of desperation and I am paying the consequences for it. However, the good news is ... my husband has been so impressed with my success thus far that he has decided to join me in my journey. :) I've managed to lose a full 4 inches from my waist alone. I am so happy with my WOE! :agree:

Yessss!!! :D Congrats! :hyper:

I know exactly how you feel. Its does feel so good. :agree:

One word of caution.....this is a milestone, not a goal. Please keep up all your hard work....cuz you ain't done yet! ;)

I had to keep reminding myself of this as I crossed over into Onederland. Its so easy to become complacent when we hit a milestone. I'd done this several times and learned my lesson the hard way. :o

That was exactly my thought... I talked myself through it this morning actually. I reminded myself that this is great news but it is just a marker on the path and my goal is further down the road...and I keep reminding myself of this!

It feels so good though!!! I'm enjoying it a little. I'm going clothes shopping next week. I'm not buying a lot but I definitely need some new underthings and new jeans. The old ones just fall right down! :D

And my reward? My favorite perfume. :)

Hi

About 8 years ago I lost over 100 lbs on Atkins, but I think I lost it too quickly and didn't adjust to a permanent low carb way of eating. So I gained about 3/4 of the weight back. I'm also post-menopausal now and losing is hard and slow! But I read the SB book at the beginning of this year, and it seems like a better lifelong way of eating, so I started the SB diet in February. I've lost about 25 lbs, even though I went off the diet for about 3 months. Somehow, I was able to maintain my weight during that time - don't know how! So I've been back on it for about 4 weeks, and even after my son's wedding last weekend and having a carb splurge, I still lost a pound, so I'm happy! And I've lost about 7" overall.

My main goal is to get to a healthy BMI, with good cholesterol levels, good blood sugar levels, & good blood pressure - for the rest of my life!

Yes! I know that feeling too.
FYI- for the in between times for jeans, thirft stores, goodwill.... are good places for new sizes(cheap!) as you shrink.

Whats your fav perfume? Mine is Eternity, since the 80s!

Mine is Chanel No. 5. I don't get it very often because of the price tag. I always think about what I could be buying for the girls instead. This time it's a guilt-free indulgence and well earned! ;)

Welcome to the Beach Suzy! The water is fine, come on in.
Gratz on your losses so far.
