I'm from the bay area, between SF and Sac. but it looks like no one has posted here since March...8 months ago.

Oregon now, but I lived in Santa Clara county for 25 years, and grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. I love where I am now, but still miss certain aspects of being in CA.

Sometimes I wish I would have moved away. I grew up in Benicia. Moved 30 minutes away and I still miss it even though it is so close.

Hah! And I comfort myself, when I get in the "missing CA" mood that S.C. Co. is "only" 8 hours away, and Monterey "only" 9 1/2 hrs. :lol: Oh well; close enough. I go down at least once a year for a family event, and sometimes a time or two more. Its all good. Don't have that many friends/family down there anymore anyway, and they seem to like visiting Oregon ;)
