Thank you for your answer. Let's start by saying that I am not doing pure Atkins, or at least, I am not in first phase.
I eat three meals a day, am not at all hungry between them. My breakfast is almost always 2 eggs in some way. lunch, chichen with or without veggies and dinner salad and tuna can or yogurt with cream. Some strawberries for dessert. no bread, pasta, sugar and so on. potatoes or rice sometimes on week end to make it easy for the rest of the family.
I understand and check carb ratios of veggies but I am not ready to eat only cabbage and endive. Even Atkins said tha green veggies are allowed.

Hi all,
I got fed up losing/gaining the same 5 kilos every time I gave some true ma'amatz.
I went on a 7 day "fast" of only acceptable LC vegetables, cooked or raw.
I lost 5 kilos, and now I am adding protein.
I am still losing.
Seems I reset my body.
No cheese for me, and no grains.
After I lose another 5 or 10, I will add white cheese.

Evelyne, of course Atkins said to eat green veggies, only you didn't list any. There are a lot of other veggies than cabbage and endives, including other foods is okay depending on your goal. Are you getting enough fats? I didn't see any on your list except for the cream. I would check if the yogurt is a bit high and try to replace with cottage cheese which is lower carb. I didn't understand, you eat potatoes and rice on weekends?
Israeli - good work on your weigh loss, are you getting enough fats in with the veggies and protein?

Oh yeah, I'm gettin' plenty: butter, olive oil, mayo and 27 % shamenet.

Good! See if you like coconut oil, it is very healthy, tasty and can be added to meat meals if you keep Kosher.

Any ideas how to make Oznay Haman LC?

evelyne Fri, Feb-24-12 04:34

No, sorry! but if you want, you can eat one and consider it "ke-zayt" only for the blessing. Anyway, for me, it's better to skip any cookies and so as LC they could be. And imagine they will be tasty, is one enough?!
but, as a compensation, here's a wonderful recipe for cauliflower.
Rinse it, powder on top marak batzal (oignon soup) cover it with nylon or other and eight minutes on high into the microwave. A friend used instead oven Enjoy.

No, I will not compromise my health and my nutrition for a high carb Ozen Haman, I will either find a solution or won't eat any.
The cauliflower is great in the microwave! Check the Marak Batzal for carbs, sometimes they add starch. I also avoid MSG, so I use powdered or dried onion on it.

Hello to all,
How are you doing? Some three years since last message.
Do you want to share where you stand now?
I achieved my goal!! Slowly but surely. And I cannot say what part sport contributed to the loss. Anyway, I'm satisfied and I hope you feel the same.
I miss friends having the same way of eating.
