Dukan Follower

My name is Maria. In 2008, I lost 20 lbs low-carbing on Atkins, but decided I was using too many low-carb, processed substitutes. I then switched to Paleo in preference of real, whole foods. I've read/tried numerous other low-carb diets over the years. I've also been inconsistent with low carbing over the years.

As with many others, my weight crept back up some. This year I decided to follow Dr. Dukan's diet. I lost 18 lbs, but became complacent and gained a few back. I'm plan to remain committed to Dr. Dukan, except that I improvise on the non-fat dairy products he prescribes.

I'm looking forward to sharing low-carb experiences with others!

Welcome Maria
There isn't a sub-forum for Dukan, but the diet has come up in a few threads. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=458765

My answer there is the same now, it is so like Stillman and other LCLF diets, you can use those tips...see the link in that thread.
You might also like Dr. Ted Naiman's take on a low carb diet. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=479073
He and Dr Westman are certainly not low fat advocates, but to lose weight, you do not need to eat fats or oils above the minimum needed for satiety.

All the best

Thank you ladies!

And thank you Jey for the suggestion with Stillman. I've heard it is similar but haven't popped in there yet.
