Not really right now, but interested in it. Has it been successful for you?

Hi Roz and jbmoore,

Yes, somersizing is food combining so far as I am aware.
Food combining is about the only plan which works for me now jbmoore. Atkins is sort of food combining by default as you only eat protein meals. In food combing you also eat carbohydrate meals but you never mix proteins with carbs at the same meal - or in what I am doing the same day.

Keep in touch Roz. Visit my diary (journal) and why not start one yourself.

Best wishes
Robert

Essentially you don't combine protein and starches right? I think Tony Robbins has promoted this in the past, not sure if this is still being promoted.

Is this difficult to maintain?

I had not heard of this before. I found some sites which suggest that it is all about digestion, and others that suggest it causes one to make better choices, in other words, we tend to over eat when offered lots of choices. I am curious about your take / reason for combining.

Hi Mica, I just stumbled on this today...
I do Somersizing which is food combining. She allows some carbs but proteins and carbs like whole grains are separate and you don't have fat with carbs.

I am not familiar with Robert's plan, but he is active in his journal.

I have had success with Somersizing but also have problems in general staying on plan. I don't think it's the plan :help: - I believe it's a good one and when you follow the rules/have them in your head it's easy to do.

For what it's worth...

Hello, again, just stumbled on this today -
I combine which is why I am check this thread sometimes...

My reasoning was it was something that made sense to me, something I thought I could stick with, and it seemed like a very healthy plan to me. I discovered some important things when I followed it and lost weight - my hot flashes stopped. (not an issue for guys, but this was huge for me) and digestive issues also stopped for me. My body really likes this WOE. That's my take on it. Plus I know it works. I have since done a little tweaking to it - I have cut out most whole grain and wheat products and went thru a very real withdrawal from them after reading Wheat Belly.

Again, for what it's worth -
Kat
