Time to Empty stomach ?

WHat led me to this was that I stopeed drinking fluids with my meals so that the acids could do their job without dilution.

I looked for a time fram that the contents would be gone to start drinking again.

Only 50% has moved on in 2-3 hours, and 6 hours to totally empty. This is frustrating as , of course, I am thirsty right after eating. ( Meals are where I put added salts.)

At this rate I will never get in my fluids--2 52 oz drinks. More or less.

Any one know of data on this?

If you're worried about stomach acid dilution, you could always try topping up with a little apple cider vinegar mixed in with a glass of water after your meal? ACV is very acidic and is supposed to help with digestion, and of course water is important for everybody.

The best source I can offer off the top of my head is YouTube. Search for videos about ACV by Thomas DeLauer and there are a few there that you may find interesting.

I started taking ACV with my meal.

WIll look for DeLauer--thank you.

Well...discovered what the hospital needs to do an ultrasound of the abdomen--4 hours to clear the system.

I remember hearing something about this years ago. Not drinking with meals.
Something I read recently that is supposed to be very bad to drink with meals is anything carbonated.

Funny you mention the drinking. I recently stopped drinking with meals, to let the acids do their job undiluted.

I will drink before, as it clears VERY fast out of the stomach and into the small intestines.

For the purpose of the ultrasound, 4 hours is the clearance time.
