British rowers break Atlantic crossing record

Yikes...Broke the Record by FIVE Days! 4 men rowed across the Atlantic in 29 Days. Stunning win among 25 teams.

In Ketosis the entire row, a "Sugar-Free" Boat, MCT oils, the whole Ketogenic package.

Watch this BBC interview..about minute four they start talking about what they ate.
I can't hear it all, but a viewer will definitely get the story that they didn't eat sugar and did eat a ketogenic diet. (when they weren't seasick)

They will need a new film, Cereal Killers 3, Row on Fat.

I can't imagine wanting to do that.

Seasick... you could see an advantage there with a ketogenic diet. If you couldn't eat for several days due to seasickness and you were on a high carb diet, having to deal with carbohydrate withdrawal symptoms on top of the seasickness doesn't sound like much fun.

Sugar-free boat, hehe. Reminds me of an experiment by some French dude, he wrote a book about it, Naufragé Volontaire. Don't remember which ocean but he crossed it in an inflatable dinghy, one of those emergency boats on big ships. He wanted to show it was quite possible to do this, because it was a big deal at the time. No supplies to begin with except the basic tools included in those emergency dinghys, he had to get water and food from the sea. Sugar-free boat for sure.

Me neither. And I rowed in college...with seven other women, on a lake, no waves, maybe a one mile course if that
Striking out onto any ocean is insane, yet there were 25 teams doing this!

DD added it today. https://www.dietdoctor.com/british-...ecord-keto-diet
