Squash Lasagna

Does anyone know where I could order squash lasagna from? Are there individual portions? I'ved searched online with some of my local stores, but they are all vegetarian products. I would like some with some meat. I suppose I could try to make some myself, but right now, I'd like to buy aome pre-made.

Hi. I've never seen it, and I don't see it being a popular enough idea to market. :(

I've made my own from scratch (including homemade sauce) and it's a lot of work, especially because I have to wash dishes by hand. A good compromise would be spiralizer zucchini noodles or chunks, with meat sauce and cheese. Much easier.

Thanks Kristine, I look forward to making both at some point. Definitely need to invest in a spiralizer. Have you heard of shirataki, (spelling) noodles?

Yep! I use them regularly. I get them at a grocery store not far from me that has an extensive ethnic foods aisle. If you're looking for the tofu shirataki, it'll probably be with the tofu in the dairy case.

My tricks for them are making sure I rinse them really, really well; and cut them into small pieces because they're a bit rubbery. Think like cutting spaghetti for a toddler. I actually use scissors, because the ones I get are tied in little bows. :daze:

If I buy the tofu shirataki, I don't bother cutting them, because the texture is a bit nicer. What I like about the regular (not tofu) ones is that they're shelf stable, and they sit in my cupboard. They're also lower in carbs, and a lot of people avoid soy. I don't trust soy, so I try to limit it to the shirataki here and there, some tamari (soy sauce) and traces in salad dressings.

paleo on the go has a squash lasagna, i've never ordered from them but one of the podcasters that i listen to likes their food. http://www.paleoonthego.com/paleo-b...paleo-on-the-go

no idea how low carb it is, but i bet if you emailed them, they'd have an idea of the macros....
