How do I delete my journal to start a new one?

Hiya,

Coming back after being sick ... my first time here wasn't very long, so I'm still a bit of a newbie. :)

Want to erase/delete my old journal and start a new one, how do I do this?

Thanks a bunch! :rheart:

hello,

1. The general rule is one journal per member.

In 2007, we added an exception to this rule, when a thread has over 2,000 replies. For an explanation about this change, please read Long journals/threads, which is stuck near the top of the Comments Box forum. It includes instructions how to start your new journal if this situation applies to you.

2. Members may request to have their journal closed or removed temporarily, for example if they're going away on vacation or just taking a break from the forum. It will be restored when you're ready to resume journaling. It's a good idea to first post a closing message to let your buddies know where you are.

3. Folks are reminded that although the journals can't be viewed by unlogged guests or search engines, that doesn't mean they're completely private. Please use discretion when sharing personal details and information. You may edit your own journal posts indefinitely, as the usual time-limit for editing messages is waived in the journal forum. This is intended to allow for updating menus and other weight loss data, but it's also handy if you wish to go back and remove some previous information that may be too revealing ;).

4. Remember that the journals are for sharing weight loss related experiences, and are subject to the forum rules. If you encounter an offensive post, report it to the moderators. Do not engage in personal attacks or flame wars in the journals. For more information about this concern, please read Journal Posting Rules and Etiquette, which is stuck at the top of the Journal forum.

best regards :rose:

hiya!

Please click the report button at the top right of the first post in your journal.
Tell us what you'd like the new title to be, and a moderator will gladly change it for you

I must be really dumb. When I click on Home (in the top right) or on the "Friends in Low Carb Places" icon (top left), I don't see anything that says "My Journal/Bootcamp". I want to start a journal and get involved, but I just can't seem to launch!!! HELP! :) and thanks!!!

Clicking the icon -- either the one in this post, or the one that's at the top (left) of each page -- will take you to Active Low-Carber's main index. Every forum and subforum is listed there; if you scroll down part-way, you'll see the Journals / Bootcamp section clearly presented .

Here's a direct link, in case you're still having problems locating it .. http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=36

Just FYI, the menu bar at the extreme top of each page goes to our host site, lowcarb.ca :exclm:

Happy journaling ... and don't forget to say hello in the Introduce Yourself section

Thank you so much for the help! I was able to set up my Journal. Now, do I just hit Reply every time I want to make an entry? Or is there a better way?

hello again,

Yes, you use the button to open a new reply box and type your message. There's a reply button located at both the top and bottom of every thread . If you just want to make a brief post, you can also use the Quick Reply box located at the bottom.

hope that helps :rose:

Removing old journals

I'd like to start fresh, with new journals (including gym journal)
I tried editing/removing my old entries thinking this would delete the journals in their entirety, but it didn't.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.
