Anyone using isolate protein ?

I'm doing a 2 scoop isolate protein shake with unsweetened almond milk as a meal replacement. 12 oz of almond milk only has like 1.5 net carbs and protein mix has 2 net carbs for each scoop. So far it has kept me full all day ! Anyone have any experience with isolate ?

I've done it off and on for years.

Yes, it's a good dose of protein and with a good brand you know exactly what your getting form the label.

Research your brand carefully.

Cheers.

I think I read somewhere that it causes an insulin spike in the brain...not good if you don't want Alzheimer's disease. I don't feel like researching it right now, but you might google it.

I've done that with casein protein at the end of a fay especially when I've worked long exhausting stressful hours and I don't have time or even want to eat.

Using whey protein during lunch causes me to want to take a nap so I don't use it.

You're right Pollyanna. I found research on it too after noticing that I never lost any weight on protein isolates. I found an article that explains why it acts like pure sugar in the system of an insulin resistant person. (I should've bookmarked it.......)
