Calling all those from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts!
I'm looking for LCers who wouldn't mind meeting once in a while as well as local penpals.
I'm from Manchester, New Hampshire.

I think we had this conversation before, but this summer I'm willing to come south to meet with you. Sometime in June maybe? We could meet in Portland or a town in New Hampshire, I've got to dig out my map.

I'm new to the group and a new LCer (since 7/22/02). I live in MA, just outside of Boston. I'm a SAHM of two (6 and 7), 46 years old, originally from San Francisco (moved here in June, 96).

I'd love to get together with you and other LCers in the area whenever! It's great to finally connect with other people who have seen the WOE light. Just let me know when you want to compare calendars and set a date and place. I'd be happy to make the drive.

If anyone has a dog, it might also be fun to bring them along and meet at a place where they can play together. I've got a 5-month old black flat-coated retriever named Geo.

Hi Lessara!! I've read your posts and I did notice you mentioned NH.. .and I've been curious how close we are, and when I read this post.. WOW!! We are very close!! I would love to get in contact with you and see what we can do, I'm pretty much by myself doing this, and knowing someone else dedicated to this way of life and the daily up and downs would be so wonderful!!! I am in North Chelmsford. Count me in too! There are a bunch of low carbers on lowcarbfriends.com who are getting a group together too. Maybe we can all get together :D I have toy pomeranian I could bring to yip at everyone :p

Heket, I see you are a Mac user, so am I, have the new flatpanel iMac with the DVD burner, etc. Love it, also have an older Tangerine iMac which still does just fine.

Ahhhh Machais ... blueberry barrens and salt air. Visited there a number of years ago. Loved it. Almost moved there probably 10 years ago, actually East Machais. Hubby could not find work. I know there is not much up there but it sure is beautiful. What brought you to the Machais area? Are you a native Mainer?

Hi, I have a Pomeranian too. You say yours is a toy? How much does it weigh? Mine is overweight, ony a little over a year and a half old. I am here in Portland,Maine.

She's about 7 pounds, five years old, and she's spoiled rotten. :D All my pics seem to be too big to post.

Dover NH here! Just moved here from WV and still in the beginning stages of weight loss. Would love a support group. :)

Welcome Cano, nobody on this board seems to get together to meet up, I wish we did and hope we do. The group that I mentioned up above does get together and we so far have met in NH and Northern MA and it's a blast. Most of us are in northern MA & southern NH. There's a tentative get together next Friday, check out the New England Low Carb Connection thread on the site I mentioned if you're interested! :wave:

So, did you all have your get together? I didn't receive any notices in my email about any. For what it's worth, I am here in Portland Maine, born and raised, lived for a bit in San Diego, and Yuma AZ, I have 4 dogs to choose from for a get together if you want dogs, a black poodle, a dalmatian, a pomeranian, and a keeshond.

Nope, like I said, there is a discussion of a possible get together for next friday over at lowcarbfriends.com under the thread New England LC Connection, we are a group that actually does meet up once a month. You are all welcome to come along too! :D

I'll be coming south during my Christmas break. Is anyone able to meet during that time? It's the same time as school vacations. I'm thinking maybe the Saturday after Christmas in either Portland or South Portland. It's now 5 + hours for me to go that far, but I'll be visiting my family during that time, only 1 1/2 hours away.

Let me know if anyone can do that.

Well, we could all try and meet for coffee or something or lunch. I'm up for it, so long as I can find the place! :p The other group I mentioned is getting together next weekend (the 8th and 9th). I may go depending on where they decide to meet. Last I heard it was Nashua (waaaay up too far for me) and Salem NH up by Chatila's bakery. It's a lot of fun to get together with fellow low-carbers.

Beth: that convention is right up my alley and my SO's :D We play 1st & 2nd Edit. AD&D. We may go! :wave:

Hey! all you l-carbers from NH...I am surprised to see so many.. We are all trying to do the same thing... and I dont think it matters how much you need to lose,, its all about support and this thread is great..

I am new and trying hard but will help if I can....I posted a note on another thread for Lassara and dont want to repeat.. so if you could read.. and give some advice it would be great.... nice meeting you all!!! :wave:

Anybody, yeah that would be cool, especially since you workout just as hard as I do, we'd have lots to talk about I think. Where's a good place that has dry rub ribs though? I think we should all get together and do a big low carb barbecue this summer, I think that would be a blast! What do you guys think???

Beth, I copied the web address for the convention and told all my gaming friends, what's even cooler is the fact the 13th of June is my birthday!! :D
