How Long to Keep HB Eggs?

Does anybody know how long hard boiled eggs can be kept
in the refrigerator before needing to be thrown out?

OK How about this
just a yes or no.
Boiled 8 days ago.
Throw out-yes
Keep-no

A quick google search says a week to a week and a half. I'd be OK with 8 days myself.

Google, why didn't I think of that?
Thank you!!

Or maybe just peel them, and see how they look/smell/taste? I'm a great believer in "if it doesn't look bad or smell bad it is probably OK to take a taste"

7-8 days is what I've been told too and I totally agree with Verbena, if it doesn't smell or look good..toss 'em out. Your good health is not worth eating a bad egg!

I know the hard boil eggs I have easily last 6 days I eat them all by then :)

I think I'm going to trash them.
I'm right on the cusp with how old they are.
Last time I ate some that were a week+ old I was burping up
that eggish type of taste. yuck.
I'll just do a new batch....
Thanks for everybody's help.

I'll keep them for a week - as long as the shell is intact. I always check for cracked shells and eat those ones within a day or two.

another vote for one week.

btw, here is a super handy website for how long foods are safe, including under what conditions:

One week.

I once had a couple of boiled eggs that were over a week old, maybe 9 or 10 days. Started to peel one and .. eeeeuuuwwww :daze:. The smell will announce itself pretty quickly, so you'll know to quit peeling and throw it out, plus its mates, if there are any :daze:
