It is! Make sure you don't overbake it. It should be a bit jiggly in the center. The texture is sublime when it's chilled.

Jiggly it shall be! Didnt you talk about making something like this when you were down last time?

I very well might have! I'm always talking about jiggly things!

One of my favourite textures!

Sugar Twin?

Hi Karen! This recipe looks awesome, but unfortunately I can't find sugar twin here. Do you have any suggestions of what I could use in place of it. Here in Louisiana, we have equal <yuck>, sweet n low, sweet thing, and generic brand sweetner. We also have liquid Fasweet, but that is it. I have contacted my grocer's manager to try and get some brown sugar sub, as I would love to make some glazed pecans! Thanks in advance!

You can use Sweet 'N Low or Fasweet in place of Sugar Twin or increase the Splenda to 1 cup.

Aspartame (Nutrasweet, Equal) is not heat stable but saccharin - which is what Sweet 'N Low and Fasweet is - is heat stable. Check what the is made from since that's another option.

Here's the link to measuring sweeteners if you use the Sweet 'N Low or Fasweet.

Lime Angel Custard/ Caje

Hi Karen, New Here, Thanks For The Site. Wonderful!!

As Well As Going Low Carb, I Have Just Learned I Have An Allery To Wheat/gluten Products. Could This Recipe ( Which Sounds Yummy) Be Made Without The Gluten Flour?? Hmm What Is The Flour Needed For Anyway?? So Little Of An Amount.
Hope It Would Not Ruin This Custard. But Wanted To Check With You First.
Thanks Again.
