Hi everyone! I'm glad to now be part of this forum, since I've closed my Facebook account and am finally done with them.

I am following the low carb eating principles in the wonderful book The Alzheimer's Antidote by Amy Berger. My grandma had Alzheimers and almost burned down the kitchen, so I decided to do everything in my power to prevent that awful disease. And if I lose this weight, all the better!

Amy's book is great! she occasionally pops in here if there is activity from links. Her blog is good to follow.

It might be worth your while setting up your own Journal, it is a safe place to vent, to have visits from other members and just track your progress.
