Exercise and a Stall....

Hi all...I have been doing LC since end of May and I had really lost a lot of weight!! 28 pounds to be exact.

I recently (2 weeks ago) started a running program called couch to 5k. I have noticed my weight loss has completley stopped...I have actually gained 1.5pounds!

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?? :help:

Not really seen any loss in inches either...I feel so discouraged :(

There have been several recent research studies showing cardio hinders weight loss in some individuals, particularly overweight women. There was a good article about it posted in our "low Carb Studies and Research" forum, but I can't find it to link it for you, and site search isn't working. But you can google for them.

Here's one such article:
Why Women Should Not Run

Edited to add,
Aerobic exercise reduces resting metabolism

Exercise can suppress metabolism:

Those still aren't the one I was specifically looking for that studied overweight women. Maybe someone else will remember where that one was.
