TEDx: Best diet for humans?
19 min YouTube Video by Professor Eran Segal showing that ice cream might be OK for some people! (based on blood glucose response).
A company called DayTwo is commercialising the findings - I'm waiting for it to be offered in the UK. |
Sure, there's the ice cream people. What if you're in the probably larger group that thrives on raw turnip and kale? I wouldn't want to know.
Seriously though, thanks for posting the video. I'd like to know how things go if you wind up implementing these ideas somehow. |
I know someone who would use the headline as an excuse to eat ice cream. She jumps on every magic dietary pill or food, lasts about a month - or whenever the next magic pill or food hits the headlines - and then tries the new one.
Considering her extremely poor health, I felt like a murderer when I got her the piece of cake she asked for. :( |
Yes. I remember when fattier ice cream was supposed to be good because it had a lower glycemic index than high sugar ice cream. Same with french fries, that fat was supposed to slow down absorption of the glucose.
|
Yes "French fry" is better than baked for a potato, and whole milk better than skim for the same reason. Snickers bar better than whole wheat bread etc. The Glycemic Index.
|
I might agree on the whole milk, but I never had much luck with french fries or snickers bars.
