Cheap Coconut oil in Holland & Barratt Currently

I picked up my first jar the other day for around £12 instead of £16/17 which I was quite happy to pay.

not sure how long the deal is for though.

It's cheaper almost anywhere else than H&B. I get mine from ocado when they have an offer - even without the offer the prices are pretty good. as oysterpie said, amazon is also good.

If you're looking for coconut oil for cooking (no coconut smell or taste) then you can get the ktc brand for a few pounds at tesco or indian grocery stores.

I think the smell and taste of coconut is part of the attraction for me. I wouldn't fry eggs in it but I love using it for stir fries.

I eat organic and wild whenever poss. I have tried Ma Devlin, Biona, Lucy Bee, Groovy Food Co and Maya Gold and they don't taste any different to me.

Courtney Act recommended using coconut oil as a makeup remover but I went one further and use it as a moisturiser for my face and body and a deep conditioning hair treatment. I've also used organic olive oil as a body moisturiser and hair treatment. For me, with very fine hair, I found olive oil worked better as a deep conditioning treatment and either is just as good as a body moisturiser.

Aldi has extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil. I find Aldi to be excellent for low carb shopping.
