Macademia nuts have a great ration for the omegas, almost the same for both types.

Salmon provides omega-3 fatty acids in the form of EPA and DHA. A 3-ounce serving of fresh or frozen salmon provides 1.1 to 1.9 g total omega-3, according to the AHA. Of the commonly eaten fish that are low in mercury, it is the richest in EPA + DHA.Jan 3, 2011
per Omega-3 Fatty Acids in Salmon Vs. Fish Oil Supplements ... https://www.livestrong.com/.../3484...fish-oil-supple... ============ Most of the nuts noted in the chart above have omega 6's in the 3-7 grams per 1 oz serving. Definitely takes a fair amount of thought to compose a diet with balanced omega 3's to omega'6's I noticed the Horizon milk offers a DHA fortified milk. But it is cow milk. Our food supply is SOOOO screwed up!! |
An intro to digestive enzymes.

While much of the below fits with info from other sources; I would like to see the studies though. My GI specialist specifically told me to eat a bran fiber to prevent cancer. ANd he is at a teaching hospital........fortunately I recently changed over to vegetables for their nutrients and and fiber.

A multifacited look at breast cancer and studies......Dr champ, oncologist takes a hard look at past studies and how poor studies became influential and old studies were forgotten..... and where we stand now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWt...eature=youtu.be MY NOTE-- Estrogen study looked at only estrogen---NOT with progesterone to balance the estrogen. |
His recommendations---what to eat to prevent and recover---
grass fed eggs grass fed cheeses decrease--- sugar---activates patheways to cancer cell sruvival and inflammation which is the playground for cancers. intense exercise fasting anythig that stresses the body to think danger not enough food, breakdown anything not critical. insulin levels highly correlated to prostate cancer. Improving IR much improved in LC diet--he notes LC is not LC, but really mod carbs. Eating all day long keeps insulin high. No overeating protein. Fat is satiating. Weight up or down--relates directly to cancer UP or cancer down. Estrogens feed cancers. Eating too much of anything, the cells shut down, so glucose not picked up and more free radicals roaming. Stress in a healthy way: lifting heavy weight, fasting, control diabetes, BUT Dr steve phinny study: 700 calories and heavy exercise didnt work. Metabolism drops. the more people pestered to exercise by doctor , the less people want to exercise. eat foods that allow eating less food and increase wanting to exercise. Free radicals-- cruciferous, thinks its a toxin so fights. berries good. NOT ALL FATS THE SAME. No corn oil. Polyunsaturates allow for free radicals to grab onto each unsaturated carbon. No vegetable oils. 100%pasture butter 100 % pasture beef |
He gives an example of his eating over several days-- wow--lucky me, this is exactly what I do for foods and timing of meals. Yeah.

Dr gregor sorts thru all the journals and post the interesting ones on his website of NO ads----
https://nutritionfacts.org/ ============ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVa5dAW0ReE Preventing and Treatig Cancer with DIet-- a review of studies and obserations in regard to several major diseases. ( quick notes) native afticans get colon cancers MUCH less than AMericans-- the fiber intake doesnt explain the dec in Africa. WHY?? Diets is different in meat intake. ( Makes me wonder if our meat source is safe.) WHY??? ( will he look at grass fed vs conventional production of feedlot beef?) extra protein makes it to colon, and putrifies and releases toxins like ammonia; eggs, too. Plants have sulfur that is hudrogen sulfide but much less than eggs and beef. ( HOW TO IMPROVE DIGESTION OF THESE) IGF-1 increases Reverse prostate cancer by using a plant diet. Low carb diets are associated with higher death rates. Need a study !! The study---6000 people. Animal protein linked to higher deaths. (HOW MUCH MEAT was seen in the study?) ( if a person is calorie restrictive, what happens to IGF-1 ??) Heme iron--excessive maybe problematic, too low is anemic. Looked at amount of heme in patients with cancers; better to get heme from plant based. ( East smaller amounts of beef?) Nitrosamines in smoke of cigaretts--- could be an isssue in hotdogs too. 24 hrs to clear body; not added so allowed to continue selling as is, in meats. breast cancer--steroid hormones in meats, incows milk also an issue, even organic milk. Addresses all womans cancers. Dairy milk evolved to grow a calf--- (HMMMM Lituanian grandmother said to not drink milk) eat plant origins to dec breast cancers.... The most plant based did the best because all meat has estrogens ((( UMMM OPOSING progesterone????) Women have HIGH twinning rates on milk, compared to much lower twinning in vegtarians. ( hummmmm feed ewes milk to increasetwinning??) He talks about the feed addatives that are not tested for the effects on our children-----and the history of the FDA in delaying such chemicals as DES well after Europe banned it. |

Dr. D'Agostino is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College Of Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology where he develops and tests metabolic therapies, including alternative energy substrates and ketogenic agents for neurological disorders, cancer and wound healing. While studying the effects of gasses on the brains of Navy Seal divers, he developed an approach for metabolically starving cancer cells through diet and compressed oxygen, replacing chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation. one comment-- Audrey Fischer 2 years ago Excellent research! Keep it up! 41 years ago 3 different hospitals predicted I had 3 months to live because of a melon-sized teratoma at the age of my 19th birthday. Surgery removed the tumor, however, they recommended NOT to go through chemotherapy because no one at that time had ever beaten this disease at that time-- and that I should enjoy the final 3 months of my life with my family. That was totally unacceptable. A fourth hospital took my case. After 2 years of chemo the exploratory surgery showed the cancer was totally gone. Now, I wonder was it the chemo that saved me or the fasting I did for 3-4 days in a row per month x 2 years. It turns out that during chemo, I got nausea so acutely, that I could not eat nor even smell food, without throwing up-- even on an empty tummy. The one drug that could ease nausea caused my throat to close/tongue swell within minutes of the injection. So, of course, I just dealt with nausea. Now, I wonder if the nausea was the God-send. . . because it meant to fasting 3-4 days in a row, monthly x 2 years. This fasting starved my cancer cells of glucose. Btw, I'm still strong at 61-- for a person that wasn't expected to live past 19 years. |
Wow! Powerful story!
Thanks for posting :) |
I would love to see a study on the cancer rate and keto or other LC diets.

Not many people eat really low carb such as 20g or under so I wonder if eating this way doesn't give the same results as a person eating the SAD who fasts a day or two then goes back to the carbs on the rest of the days?
