Starting Fresh with Low GI...anyone else?

Hey all:

I love Rick Gallop's version of the Low Glycemic Index eating plan. It has worked for me in the past and I'd like to start fresh and get back on track.

Anyone out there interested in sharing recipes, ups and downs etc.?

Is there anyone on the GI diet out there?

=)

I have Gallops book also I like the concept of the green light foods list and I have been back and forth on the Atkins they don't know what caused my issue I just had (it's in my journal) but I felt the same way the last time I did Atkins and that feeling never went away until I stopped eating a high concentration of fat. Which is a RED light in gallops book. The doc says they don't know what causes what I had nor how to prevent it. So I have decided to try the low GI again just to see - it's generally low carb.
So when are you starting again? Do you have any mini goals yet? I don't get on here very much but I will check in on you when I do. :)
Good luck with your fresh start ;)

I'm planning on starting The Belly Fat Cure in about a week when I return from a vacation. I have not read the whole book yet, but there is lots of information online and videos from Jorge Cruise. It is controlled carb and low sugar. Overall the rules are a total of not more than 16 gm sugar a day and a total of not more than 120 gm carbs a day or what he calls 6 serving. You can eat less carbs is wanted. Eat 5-6 times a day and never eat more than 2 carb serving together. No Splenda, Equal, or saccarrin allowed. Stevia and Xylitol and some other sugar alcohols allowed. No calorie counting, but moderation encouraged, especially in the high cal foods like nuts and cheese. Overall low glycemic. I will be glad to share some recipe and menu ideas once I get going.

Susan
