John Gibson is going for his goal!
Hi all,
Decided to start my Gym Log. This monday starts the weight lifting. A couple of years ago I hired a personal trainer, but now I can't afford her so I have to do it on my own. A good friend of mine at work lifts and he has agreed to work out with me and be sort of a coach/workout buddy. What have I done today? Well, I have been feeling off due to sickness but I got back to my walking. I had let it lapse for four days while I was feeling out of it. So today is 2.4 miles with a pretty brisk pace. The walks have been getting much easier so I am going to increase the distance. That is all for now. John |

Four mile walk with the DP (Dear Pooch) Really pushed myself and I can feel it in the body.
Monday begins the weights. My 42 jeans are getting baggy. Maybe I will be in 40s in the next couple of weeks. John |
Logged another four miles This afternoon in downtown chicago.
This makes an 8 mile day! John |
This morning was four miles with the pooch. Legs are tired, but I feel good.

Another 2.5 miles today. Tomorrow I will take him out for 4 miles. I might have to get up at 5:00am to do that (I have to be at work at 7:30am)

I have been walking almost daily and will start to work out with weights on monday. 2.5 miles with the dog today. John |

Good for you!!! keep it up, exercise makes a LOT of difference. |

I don't want to talk about that at this moment. waiting on some tests at the doctor, hopefully I will start the running program in a week. John |

However I did do 4 x 8 reps Bench Press w/ 60lbs 4 x 8 reps with some type of other press 40lb 4 x 10 Reps Crunch Machine s/ 50lbs Tomorrow will be Racquet ball 3 games John |

4 x 10 Reps Inclined Bench w/60lbs 4 x 10 Reps Curl 45 lbs 4 x 10 Reps Lateral Pull 60lbs 8 x 10 reps on other exercises I can't quite remember, but will get the name of 6 x 10 Reps Abdominal Crunch w/ 80lbs (I am going to feel this tomorrow) 2.4 miles with the dog.... |
Played a causal game of Racquet Ball with my daughter today.
Started Day 1 of the Cool Running Couch Potato to 5K program today!!! 2.5 miles walking / Running alternated. |
Day 2 of the Cool Running program Complete!
Tomorrow will be Racquet Ball or Lifting, depending how I feel. 2.5 miles walking / running |
