How long will it take me to lose 60 pounds

I usually eat only 20 to 30 carbs a day and work out for 2 to 4 hours. I weigh 184 or at least the last time I checked. I started a week ago and had a few slip ups but I'm back on track.

Every body is different, so we can't tell you how long it will take. It will be quick, then really slow, then your body may find a rhythm. Water weight (which exercise can cause) will give you fluctuations.

General rule of thumb on most diets is 1-2 lb per week but it won't be in a straight line.

How long do you want it to take to lose 60 pounds Happy Me?

It depends on how insulin resistant you are. Some people can easily get into deep ketosis on 30g of carbohydrate and start shedding pounds, while others need to try other strategies like fasting.

Welcome to the board, Happy Me
It will take as long as your body chooses, but if you stick to plan I am sure you will get to a healthy weight in time.

What we are saying is that your body, not us, will tell you how long it takes.

The "burning X calories" guides are a just a suggestion, and a wildly inaccurate one, at that.

Stay on your plan, assume that slip ups are not permitted, because you're eating poison (a really good way to prevent slip ups!) and also assume that this is your way of eating for the rest of your life.

You want to be both healthy and slim, right? You will be neither, once you get to goal, if you go back to your other WOE.

I'm impressed with your commitment to exercise. Ironically, it may slow you down a bit, because building muscle happens by inflaming the muscles, and that causes water retention.

OTOH, wouldn't you rather have an extra two weeks to get to your goal, and look ripped, long before you get there?

16 months, 8 days, 5 hours and 25 minutes.

So seriously, who knows? It depends on your age, metabolism, dieting history, drugs/NSAIDs you take, so many things that one can't possibly predict it. However, if you don't mind me pulling a number out of my posterior, you've got your prediction. :-)
