Hello! :wave: I'm new to this forum. Did Lcarb for years, and lost, regained, yo-yoed, tried serveral diets which never gave permanent weightloss. As many of you know, dieting does not work! Anyways, I lost about 20-25 lbs on my own about 2 yrs ago. Was diagnosed with pre-diabetes in 2014, but as of january 1, 2018 of this year, I've been doing the ketogenic diet. Discovered it through word of mouth, from friends and relatives doing the diet. I really don't like using the word "diet." Have lost an additional 11 lbs on keto, in 4 months, totaling 31 lbs as of today! :clap: 'cause of being pre-diabetic, I was really scared of getting type 2 diabetes! So, I had made up my mind as to go to the gym 3x a week, and have increased it to 4x per week for 3.5 months! I'm really proud of my accomplishments! :up:

Dr Westman's clinic plan, based on the Atkins induction protocol used in his clinic, was always "Ketogenic". Dr Westman has some great talks on diabetes and his clinic treatment on the DietDoctor website.
