..this "fact" keeps getting stated in commercials...(usually
by someone selling "liquid" vitamins) This statement true?..or
just another smoke screen to confuse the vitamin user...

More lies-- like the spam I got about 90 % of disease today is
cause by a clogged colon.

It is true... especially in older people. This is why
twinlabs, Now, and some of the other good quality vitamin
companies do not Tablet their pills. They are powder in
gelcaps. :-) I try whenever possible to buy ONLY capsuled
vitamin supplements, or like my trace mineral supplement,
(can't find a good one in a capsule) crush it in a mortar and
add it to my morning protein shake.
Many people will poop vitamin tablets out intact, undigested.
If you can find a liquid vitamin in sufficient strengths for a
good price, go for it.
IMHO,

mostly true unfortunely. especially mineral like calcium.
if u take suplements and care about its quality and
bioavailability, read these two articles:
http://www.slimnutrient.infinity2.info/education/index.asp
1. read "How to read supplement labels"
2. read "how to choose your supplements"
3. click "CAeDS" on top of screen
if you think they make sense and like to see some products
that has these attributes, click "shopping" button at the
lower left.
good luck

I would not say 90%, but a clogged colon after you are 40
years of age can be a fact if you eat a crappy, low fiber diet
like most people do... It can cause various chronic toxic
syndromes.
If you work in health care, you can see this problem in older
patients. They can have a HUGE engorged colon with lots of
crap built up, sticking to the walls with a little bitty lumen
for fresh stuff to pass thru. You can see it on regular x-rays
and barium x-rays. Not an uncommon cause of colon cancer,
colon abcesses and rectoceoles.
These people are often given "Go lightly" to cleanse them out.
One nurse I talked to was almost afraid to flush the toilet
due to the sheer volume produced in the bedside commode. :-)
Annual cleansing is a good idea.

Sorry, I believe this is more scam or lack of knowledge. The
clinic where endoscopy and colonoscopy is done just below my
office. I know and have worked with several
gastroenterologists who have seen thousands of colons and have
done thousands of colon preps. I've seen lots of photos taken
during tests in patients' records. "Crap" doesn't "stick" to
walls of colons.

I don't agree...
I had some chronic GI problems a few years ago and had to get
endoscopy done, both ends...
Dr. Deshner TOLD ME that this DOES happen in older patients!
He was not worried about doing an emergency colonoscopy on
me (after 10 days of agony, turns out I had a C. diff.
infection), he just had me do a simple enema as "I would
not have years of colon buildup like some older patients".
I got that info. confirmed by a GI doctor.
sorry.

I've been told by a person at TwinLab that the maximium you
can absorb from a tablet or capsule is 40%.

That's better than only 10% ;-)
I think liquid is probably best, but the trick is finding one
with sufficient strength to make it worth the $$$ and not
having to drink gallons of it. It also needs to be a stable
compound... Some vitamins are light sensitive and should be in
amber bottles, not white or clear.

I've read some literature from MegaFoods that claims glass
bottles are superior to plastic because plastic can give off
some kind of gas or something - sorry but I forgot the actual
complaint.
You mention white but the white plastic bottles I've seen
would seem to block light from passing through, no? I am
referring to the solid white plastic bottles.
