Hi! I am a new member. Have only been low carbing for just over a week. I am a pescatarian (the posh word for a fisheating veggie!!).
I am trying to contact fine from Peterborough, England as I want to ask you about something you've said before. I tried Private Messaging but I wasn't allowed to do this. Why not?!
Any way - fine (or anyone else). I am getting really fed up eating fish all the time. I used to live off quorn. I read in one of your messages (from a year ago!) that quorn was only 0.5g per 100g. On the packet it says something like 5.9g per 100g. (For mince & pieces). Am I doing something wrong in the working out the carbs. I know in the US you subtract the fibre but I didn't think you did that in the UK. Also if I subtracted the fibre (6g) it would give me a negative! Please help!!!
I know I'll get lots of help here - I've read loads of messages already - but if I could hear from the Uk on this issue as maybe products are different in the US.
Anyway - thanks for your help and speak soon  Sarah X

Hi there Sarah, welcome!

I can't really help with your quorn question, but I can tell you that you cannot send or receive private messages until you have made 25 posts.

Meanwhile you can, as you have done here, post messages on the board, or, in fine's case, go to her journal - click here. (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32397&perpage=15&pagenumber=3)

As for subtracting fibre in the UK, if you go to the UK forum (click here), (http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?forumid=35&s=) you'll find "sticky" thread near the top where Little Anne explains it beautifully.

Cheers.
